SCUBA Diving and Snorkeling
We happily recommend Dive Makai Charters for the best SCUBA diving experience on the Big Island. There are many dive operators located in Kailua, but Dive Makai is the best.  Their combination of service, marine life education, and fun is unbeatable!

Please DO NOT feed the fish. Over 30% of the Kona coastline is designated as a marine preserve or fish replenishment area. In these areas, it is illegal to take any marine life and it is illegal to feed the fish. This is very important in order for our fish populations to recover and live a natural, healthy life span.

My idea of a great golf experience includes indoor-outdoor carpet and a windmill, but folks I know tell me that there are many great courses to play on the island.  From the smaller up-slope courses, to the spectacular ocean-front venues, there's something for every golfer.
